Gilles Laguesse is a lawyer at the Brussels Bar, practising in banking and financial law. He is first and foremost a banking-litigation lawyer, and also develops a strong practice in regulatory advice and compliance. He advises banks, insurers, payment and investment firms, fintech companies and intermediaries — in litigation as well as advisory work. Litigation and advice
He litigates regularly before the Belgian courts and, where appropriate, the European courts. He also provides regulatory and operational advice to financial-sector companies, in support of their legal teams or of other firms.
Teaching and arbitration
Gilles Laguesse has taught a course at ICHEC Brussels Management School for over ten years. He also sits as an arbitrator with CEPANI (the Belgian Centre for Arbitration and Mediation) and the CBAS (Belgian Court of Arbitration for Sport).
